Jo grew up near belfast watching mtv and playing guitar in indie bands and she studied graphic design at college and worked for a sheep-tagging company but really who wants to do that so she bought a camera and started making short films and music videos and that’s much more fun than sheep-tagging so she worked at the mill and made that anti-plastic surf film which won everything and she started shooting commercials which everyone loved and she can do the clever bit with all the effects stuff because she loves software and actually reads the instructions and she loves freezing cold water and general outdoor shenanigans and as long as there is also whiskey and ramen involved she’s the happiest person in the world and her combination of amazing work and general zen-like happiness is really the reason why she simply had to be a proper knucklehead
