tony grew up in south london which is the weird bit full of traffic and gangsters and wanted to study philosophy until his school told him he should aim higher so he became an apprentice plumber but wasn’t great with a spanner so he became a copywriter and figured that being a creative was a better gig than welding pipes and became a creative director at wiedens but none of that was as fun as directing beautifully crafted commercials and getting given a gazillion awards at the arrows and although he failed the interview for the samaritans he’s ridiculously empathetic with a script and an actor and that’s ok with us because we absolutely love his work and he can fix a dripping tap as well which is really a bonus and for both of those reasons that surely makes him an absolute born and bred knucklehead
